The Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Controller to join our Supply Chain team at our Haslingden manufacturing site.
This is a key role responsible for ensuring accurate inventory management across raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods, while supporting logistics planning when required.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Stock Control
- Maintain accurate inventory records across all stock categories
- Monitor stock levels to support production while minimising excess stock
- Carry out cycle counts and resolve discrepancies
- Ensure accurate ERP/WMS transactions
- Manage batch and traceable stock
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
Manufacturing & Warehouse Support
- Align materials with production schedules
- Coordinate material movements including third-party logistics
- Ensure FIFO adherence
- Support health & safety and quality compliance
Logistics & Shipping Cover
- Support transport booking and shipment coordination
- Plan deliveries in line with service expectations
- Prepare shipping documentation
- Resolve delivery issues with stakeholders
Reporting & Administration
- Produce inventory and logistics reports
- Identify risks and improvement opportunities
- Support audits and internal reviews
About You
- Experience in inventory control within manufacturing
- ERP or WMS system experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Good organisation and teamwork skills
- Experience in packaging or similar industries (desirable)
- Exposure to logistics coordination (desirable)
- Understanding of compliance and traceability (desirable)
