Duties
- Dress in costume and embody a variety of frightening or entertaining characters to engage guests and enhance the haunted experience
- Use expressive body language, facial expressions, and voice projection to scare, surprise, or amuse visitors in a lively and energetic manner
- Interact with guests through public speaking, storytelling, or spontaneous improvisation to heighten the thrill of the attraction
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate scares and maintain the flow of the attraction while ensuring guest safety
- Maintain character integrity throughout shifts, staying in character while responding appropriately to guest interactions
- Participate in rehearsals or training sessions to perfect scare techniques, choreography, or character development
- Assist with set changes or costume adjustments as needed to ensure seamless transitions between scenes
Qualifications
- Experience in dancing, acting, or performing arts is highly desirable for creating convincing character portrayals
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with guests and fellow team members in a lively environment
- Ability to perform physical activities such as running, jumping, or quick movements for extended periods during shifts
- Comfortable working outdoors or in dimly lit environments with loud sounds and special effects
- Enthusiastic attitude with a passion for entertaining and creating memorable moments for visitors
- Excellent public speaking skills for improvising dialogue or reacting spontaneously to guest interactions
- Prior teaching or coaching experience is a plus for training new team members or leading group activities
