Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver/Porter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires a proactive attitude, good organisational skills, and the ability to handle physical tasks associated with heavy lifting. Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles, including vans or lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Deliver goods to clients or designated locations in a timely manner
- Assist with loading and unloading items, including heavy or bulky products, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered during routes
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle at all times
- Follow health and safety procedures throughout all tasks
Skills
- Valid UK driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
