We're recruiting for two Mechanical Assemblers to join a well-established manufacturing business based between York and Malton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in doing a good job, and is confident using hand and power tools.
Previous mechanical assembly experience isn't essential but would be beneficial. If you're reliable, eager to learn, and have experience using tools, full training can be provided.
What you'll be doing
- Assembling high-quality products using hand and power tools
- Following basic assembly drawings and work instructions
- Carrying out quality checks to ensure finished products meet high standards
- Working as part of a supportive production team
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
What we're looking for
- Confidence using hand and power tools
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- The ability to work well as part of a team
- Access to your own transport due to the rural location
- Experience reading engineering drawings or previous mechanical assembly experience would be beneficial, but is not essential
The role offers great work life balance working Monday to Thursday: 8:00am to 5:00pm and Friday: 8:00am to 1:00pm earning £14.50 per hour. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity.
