We are currently recruiting for an Assistant General Manager at Elnecot restaurant and bar in Ancoats, Manchester.

We are looking for a hands-on Assistant Manager who will assist the General Manager in the day to day running of the front of house and bar team, creating a warm, personable and inviting environment for both our staff and our guests.
The ideal candidate must have a proven track record at similar establishments and be able to provide references.
We pride ourselves on our individual approach to food and drinks and we are looking for someone who has a genuine interest and passion in both of these areas. We want to pass on to our customers just how committed we are to giving them amazing hospitality and this can only be done if we are genuinely invested in it.
We are looking for someone who:
- has a minimum of 2 years experience at Supervisor or AGM level
- Exhibits strong knowledge and interest in food and drinks as well as an excellent understanding of restaurant operations.
- Has excellent verbal and written communication
- Is flexible to the demands and requirements of a busy city centre restaurant
- Has proven record of being able to successfully guide a front of house team
Duties will include, but will not be limited to:
- Ensuring company standards of service are met across both the floor and bar
- Interviewing and hiring of staff as well as writing rota in accordance with agreed margins
- Control of purchasing of consumables and bar stock
- Training of staff to ensure their development and day to day managing of customer service
- Keeping on top of email correspondence
- Responding to customers / working with the Directors to acknowledge feedback and adapting processes where necessary
- Maintaining a clean and healthy front of house environment in line with health and safety guidelines
- Creating ideas for the continued evolution and success of the business and putting them into practice
As our Assistant General Manager you will be responsible for liaising with the GM and the Directors and working with them to create an enjoyable working environment and incredible space for customers to enjoy what we have on offer.
Starting wage £13.25 per hour
Excellent service around £2.50 - £3 per hour extra (£5,500 - £6,500 per annum)
Employers Pension contribution with Nest of 3%
