Responsibilities

- Assist in the development and implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident’s needs and preferences.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding residents’ conditions.
- Promote a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols and reporting any concerns or incidents promptly.
- Support residents’ emotional well-being through active listening, companionship, and encouragement.
- Assist with light housekeeping duties to ensure a clean, comfortable living space for residents.
- Use IT systems efficiently for record keeping and communication purposes, ensuring compliance with data protection standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a care home or home care setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills in English to interact effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Basic IT literacy for maintaining records and updating care plans accurately.
- Valid driving license is advantageous for roles involving transportation or home visits.
- Ability to follow detailed care plans while demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to elderly care environments.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required to meet the needs of residents.
