About Rosewood House
Rosewood House is a therapeutic residential service supporting young adults aged 16–24 with a range of needs, including mental health conditions, autism, learning disabilities, ADHD, ODD, and experiences of childhood trauma and abuse.
We work within a trauma-informed, therapeutic framework, underpinned by the PACE approach (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy). Our focus is on building trusting relationships, promoting emotional safety, and empowering young people to develop resilience, independence, and a positive sense of self.
The Role
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced In-House Therapist to provide consistent, high-quality therapeutic support to the young people living at Rosewood House.
This role is integral to our service model and will involve close collaboration with young people, the wider care team, and external professionals to ensure therapeutic input is embedded into everyday practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual therapeutic interventions tailored to the emotional, psychological, and developmental needs of young people
- Undertake assessments and contribute to therapeutic formulations and care planning
- Work in line with the PACE approach, promoting emotional safety, trust, and relational repair
- Support young people to process trauma, develop emotional regulation skills, and build healthy coping strategies
- Contribute to risk assessments, behaviour support plans, and crisis management strategies
- Work collaboratively with residential staff to embed therapeutic approaches into daily care
- Offer reflective practice, guidance, and informal training to staff teams
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and professional clinical records
- Liaise with external professionals including CAMHS, adult mental health services, social workers, and education providers
- Ensure safeguarding, professional standards, and regulatory requirements are consistently upheld
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds a recognised qualification in a therapeutic discipline (e.g. Counselling, Psychotherapy, Psychology, CBT, or similar)
- Is registered or accredited with a relevant professional body (e.g. BACP, HCPC, UKCP, BABCP)
- Has experience working with young people with trauma, neurodiversity, and complex emotional needs
- Has a strong understanding of attachment theory and trauma-informed practice
- Is confident working within a residential or care setting
- Is empathetic, reflective, and able to build safe, trusting relationships
- Values collaborative, person-centred working
