We're on the hunt for friendly, reliable people to join our casual Front of House team here at Fig and Smoke. If you love good food, get a buzz from working with people, and thrive when a wedding is in full swing, you'll fit right in.
This is proper flexible work; pick up shifts around weekends, midweek events, and the mad rush of peak season, whatever suits your life outside of us. Every event we do is different, and you'll be joining a team that genuinely looks out for each other and takes pride in what we serve up.
A BIT ABOUT US
We're Fig and Smoke, and we create modern, thoughtful dining experiences for weddings and events across Devon and beyond, based on the edge of Exeter. Seasonal produce, food that looks as good as it tastes, warm hospitality and real attention to detail; that's what we're about. Nothing here is off the shelf, every event is bespoke to the couple, and every single guest matters, from the first hello to the last goodbye.
WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY BE DOING
Giving guests warm, friendly, properly professional service. Serving food and drinks to a high standard. Working hand in hand with the kitchen and the rest of the team on the day. Mucking in wherever you're needed, no job too small. Keeping service areas clean, tidy and on top of things. Being a great face for Fig and Smoke; confident, positive, smiling.
IS THIS YOU?
You've got a can do attitude and people warm to you naturally. You enjoy being part of a team when things get fast paced. You're calm under pressure, reliable, and happy to roll your sleeves up. You're into food, events or hospitality, experience is a bonus but not a must. You're free to work evenings and weekends.
