Heath Lodge Clinic is an Independent Imaging Centre in Knowle, Solihull, West Midlands, which aims to provide a caring and supportive workplace to all employees.
We are looking to appoint an experienced MRI Radiographer. You will work alongside our existing team who pride themselves on providing a patient centric service. The successful candidate must have a proven track record in MRI radiography, demonstrate attention to detail and importantly for us, be a team player. You must have a good understanding of different scanning techniques and sequences. Applicants should also be competent in IV cannulation (ideally with SOR accreditation) and evidence current practice through CPD/mandatory training.
The clinic is well recognised for our patient centric approach, and any successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and demonstrate an empathetic approach when dealing with our patients. As part of our caring ethos, the team offers support to many severely claustrophobic patients who have completed their MRI scans with us when they have been unable to do so elsewhere.
Our clinical service provision includes an MRI unit comprising two state of the art 3T scanners, and an additional 1.5T Siemens Espree scanner, which is particularly suited to the needs of claustrophobic patients. We also provide X-Ray, Dexa, Ultrasound and Fluoroscopy, as part of our Pain Management service.
The role is ideally full time (usually 10-hour shifts, 37.5 hours per week average), and the clinic operates Monday to Friday, from 8am to 6.30pm. There is no routine On Call or out of hours service, although there may also be some occasional evening or Saturday working required. We will also consider someone looking for three 10-hour shifts per week.
Duties in the role will include performing a range of MSK, Neuro and abdominal scans. You will follow the clinic’s policies and procedures in terms of MRI safety controls to protect patients, visitors and non-MRI staff. You will support our patients throughout their attendance at the clinic.
In return we offer a highly attractive salary and additional benefits package, which includes pension, excellent annual leave entitlement increasing with service, company sick pay, group health care scheme and access to an employee rewards and benefits platform.
