Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Front of House Team Member to join our friendly team. This role is vital in creating a welcoming environment for our guests and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work efficiently and proactively. Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimise guest experience
- Work the bar; serving drinks and take accurate food orders for the kitchen and provide general front of house food service tasks
- Provide accurate information about our services, menu options, or facilities
- Handle customer enquiries courteously.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area and public spaces
- Process payments accurately using the designated systems
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high standards of service are maintained at all times
- Assist with organising events or special functions when required
- Ensure washroom facilities are presentable on a regular basis (and when required)
- Skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills with a friendly and approachable manner
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure during busy periods
- Good team player with a proactive attitude towards problem-solving
- Ability to adapt
- Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions and reservations
- Previous experience in hospitality, retail, or customer service is desirable but not mandatory
