Growing Together, Lancashire and Beyond Early Years Stronger Practice Hub, Duke Street Nursery School.
We are looking for an experienced and passionate early years professional to join us as an Early Years Stronger Practice Hub Adviser (EYSPA) on a secondment basis.
What is an EYSPA?
An EYSPA works alongside early years settings to share effective practice, support improvement and build the confidence and knowledge of the early years workforce. Advisers use their own expertise and evidence-informed practice to work collaboratively with settings, helping practitioners identify strengths, explore areas for development and embed sustainable improvements.
This is an exciting opportunity to share your expertise beyond your own setting and contribute to improving outcomes for children across our Stronger Practice Hub region.
The opportunity
- Secondment opportunity for an experienced early years practitioner/leader.
- Daily rate: £500 per day, inclusive of all travel costs.
- Commitment to be available for 14 days per term to support Stronger Practice Hub activity.
- Opportunities to work directly with early years settings through visits, modelling, coaching, peer support and sharing effective practice.
- Work alongside the Growing Together Stronger Practice Hub team and other EYSPAs.
We are particularly interested in hearing from professionals with strong practice and expertise who are passionate about supporting and developing others.

Essential Qualifications
Applicants for group-based setting support must have a Level 6 or above early years qualification and have agreement from their home setting manager/owner/head teacher to take part in the programme.
Essential Experience
- At least 3 years early years experience, currently working in a Good/Outstanding setting (or meeting the new Ofsted expected standard), with experience across 04 years. Applicants may be from schools, PVI settings or LAs.
- Experience of providing support beyond their own setting.
Experience of mentoring, coaching or developing others, including practitioners, apprentices or volunteers, and modelling effective practice.

Desirable Experience
- Experience of addressing gaps in childrens learning and development, including speech and language, physical development and school readiness.
- Ability to use data to identify gaps, develop action plans and support inclusive practice, particularly for children with SEND or from disadvantaged backgrounds.
- Commitment to evidence-informed practice and supporting sustainable change.
