Due to our expanding business, we are looking for a Early Years Educator to join our experienced and friendly team of practitioners.
Our nursery is situated in the lovely village of Farndon, Chester, and offers a caring, play-based environment where children can flourish. The successful candidate will be actively involved in planning and delivering the EYFS curriculum, ensuring that children learn and develop through play.
We place great importance on outdoor learning and make full use of our extensive nursery grounds to support physical development, exploration, and creativity.

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator who is enthusiastic about supporting young children’s learning and development. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and a genuine love for helping children reach their full potential through engaging, play-based learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and delivery of stimulating, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and independence.
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to promote open communication and consistency of care.
- Observe, assess, and record children’s progress, sharing feedback with parents and adapting plans as needed.
- Promote positive behaviour management strategies in line with the nursery’s policies.
- Encourage social, emotional, and physical development through everyday routines and play.
- Ensure full compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and early years statutory requirements.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team to maintain the nursery’s high-quality standards and contribute to continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience working with children aged 0–5 years in an early years setting
- Good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A caring, positive, and proactive approach
- Commitment to professional development and reflective practice
- Ideally, you will have some Forest School training or experience. However, for the right candidate, we are happy to fund Forest School training as part of your professional development.
