Job Description: Hair Stylist
Location: Leith Walk, Edinburgh
Days of work: Variable (Salon open Monday to Saturday)
We are initially looking for a hair stylist to start immediately, possibly 2 or 3 days a week with a view of building a client base and increasing to 3 to 4 days a week depending on how often you wish to work. Flexibility can be offered and this can be discussed.
Contract Type: Part Time and Full Time Available
Requirements
You will be a qualified hairdresser with great cutting, colouring and communication skills. You will have a dynamic and outgoing personality, reflective of the brand principles of Indigo Hair & Beauty. Level of qualification required is variable, and all candidates will be assessed for suitability and offered a role to suit, if successful.
Experience
You must be able to uphold the Indigo Hair & Beauty standards whilst working, providing the highest level of customer service to clients. Your personality will ideally reflect the Indigo Hair & Beauty brand showing passion, creativity, motivation and eagerness to learn (or teach).
Other Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Greeting guests and visitors to the salon, as well as handling enquiries by telephone.
- Ensuring client satisfaction
- Offering meaningful, relevant conversation
- Discussing the benefits of hair care and products
- Providing skilled hair cuts and colours in line with training and experience
Salon Operations
- Adhering to strict Health and Safety / Fire Safety policies
- Wearing required personal protective equipment and other Health and Safety procedures.
- General Salon Housekeeping
Other Duties
- Maintaining a positive salon atmosphere
- Promoting Indigo Hair & Beauty and its brand principles
