Tony Weir Contractor is a family run fencing business, and we're looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team. You'll play an important role in helping us price, manage and deliver fencing projects while working closely with our office and site teams.
The Role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll be responsible for managing the costs of our fencing projects from quotation through to completion. You'll help make sure projects stay on budget, materials are ordered on time, and everything runs smoothly.
What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing quotations and cost estimates for fencing projects.
- Measuring materials and labour from drawings and site information.
- Monitoring project costs and budgets.
- Ordering materials and speaking with suppliers.
- Working closely with directors, site teams and clients.
- Preparing valuations and keeping commercial records up to date.
- Helping to keep projects profitable and running efficiently.
What We're Looking For
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator in construction.
- Good understanding of cost control and budgeting.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Fencing experience is a bonus, but not essential.
