Grove Engineering Services Limited is a long established company based in Corby, providing engineering and site services assistance to the food, print and waste industries, in and around the local area. We are looking for a motivated individual to join our experienced team as a multi skilled site services operative.
As a key member of the site services team, you will be familiar in using a variety of equipment, plant and tools, typical to the construction industry, and have experience in a variety of trades including basic carpentry, general building work, and groundworks. This role is an opportunity to join a highly experienced and multi skilled team who will support and challenge you to achieve a high level of quality and efficiency.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Carrying out ducting and drainage work.
- Concreting and finishing.
- General groundwork duties.
- Kerb laying.
- Operating plant equipment (training can be supplied).
We offer competitive rates of pay, availability for overtime, 24 days holiday pay plus bank holidays, as well as training, and the opportunity to grow professionally.
The successful candidate will have a starting rate of pay between £16.00 - £21.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills, with the ability to increase with further experience and training.
To be suitable for this role, essential skills that you will need are:
- Be able to communicate effectively with co-workers.
- Driving license.
- Have an ability to work as part of a multi-skilled team on customer sites to hit deadlines and achieve the quality standards that our customers expect from us.
- Have a positive, can-do attitude and willingness to solve problems.
- Have previous experience in construction based skills.
Attributes that will be beneficial are:
- Asbestos awareness trained (training can be provided).
- Clean driving license.
- CSCS trained.
- Experience working within the food industry.
- Other construction based plant and training certificates.
Pay: £16.00-£21.00 per hour
