Job Summary
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team, positions on both Drum and Volumetrics are available. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of Concrete, delivering to sites, both domestic and commercial, This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers to utilise their commercial driving skills in a dynamic environment, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate HGV Class 2 trucks in compliance with all road safety and traffic regulations
- Conduct pre-journey vehicle inspections and report any defects or issues
- Plan delivery routes effectively to meet schedules and optimise fuel efficiency
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Adhere to company policies regarding health and safety.
- Communicate professionally with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules and any unforeseen delays
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, demonstrating familiarity with route planning and customer service
- Valid UK HGV Class 2 licence is essential
- Experience in driving and handling drum mixers and/or volumetric trucks preferred
- Knowledge of current road regulations and safety standards related to commercial driving
