The Role
As a Secondary Supply Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, maintaining high standards of behaviour and ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering pre-planned lessons across your subject specialism.
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Building positive relationships with pupils and school staff.
- Assessing and monitoring student engagement and progress where required.
- Upholding safeguarding and health & safety procedures at all times.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Recent experience teaching within UK secondary schools.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new school environments.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
- A professional, reliable and flexible approach.
