Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality coffee and beverages. This role involves preparing drinks, serving customers, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. The successful applicant will be organised, able to work efficiently under pressure, and committed to food safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times
- Serve customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders accurately
- Handle cash transactions and operate the till efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including equipment, counters, and seating areas
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during shifts
- Assist with food preparation tasks when required
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimise wait times for customers
Requirements
- Previous barista experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Experience in serving customers with excellent communication skills
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Good time management skills to ensure timely service during peak hours
- Ability to work well within a team and independently when necessary
- Flexibility to work shifts that may include mornings, afternoons, or evenings as required

Pay: £12.21-£16.74 per hour
