Poulet is a vibrant rotisserie chicken restaurant located on Maltby Street in the heart of Bermondsey. Alongside our restaurant, we operate a busy outdoor Beer Bar on the famous Bermondsey Beer Mile, serving a great selection of beers, cocktails and seasonal drinks.
With a lively atmosphere, regular events and a strong focus on hospitality, we are looking for an experienced Shift & Bar Supervisor to help lead our team and deliver exceptional guest experiences.
The Role
As a Shift & Bar Supervisor, you will support the management team in the day-to-day running of both the restaurant and Beer Bar. You will lead by example on the floor, support team development, ensure excellent service standards and oversee bar operations during busy trading periods.
This is a hands-on role ideal for a hospitality professional who enjoys leading from the front and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead shifts across the restaurant and Beer Bar.
- Deliver exceptional guest service and resolve guest concerns professionally.
- Support, train and motivate front-of-house team members.
- Ensure smooth daily operations and strong communication between FOH and kitchen teams.
- Prepare and serve beers, wines, cocktails and soft drinks to company standards.
- Monitor bar stock levels and assist with ordering and stock control.
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, food safety and health & safety standards.
- Support opening and closing procedures.
- Assist with private events, group bookings and seasonal activations.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation and presentation throughout the venue.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience within hospitality.
- Previous bar experience essential.
- Good knowledge of beers, cocktails and beverage service.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Positive, hands-on attitude with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in a busy service environment.
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
