Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Mobile Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises and personnel. The successful candidate will be responsible for patrolling designated areas, monitoring surveillance systems, and responding promptly to incidents. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and proactive security measures are essential. The position involves mobile patrols, surveillance oversight, and loss prevention activities, contributing to the overall safety of our organisation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of designated areas using company vehicles or on foot to deter unauthorised access and identify potential security risks.
- Respond swiftly and appropriately to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, including providing first aid if necessary.
- Enforce loss prevention policies by observing customer and employee conduct, preventing theft or vandalism.
- Maintain detailed logs of patrols, incidents, and observations accurately and promptly.
- Liaise with law enforcement or emergency services when required, providing clear reports of incidents.
- Assist in the implementation of security protocols and procedures to enhance safety measures across all sites.
Requirements
- Proven experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of CCTV operations and monitoring techniques is essential.
- Ability to work independently with strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Physically fit with the capacity to undertake patrols on foot or via vehicle over extended periods.
- Flexibility to work shifts that may include nights, weekends, or holidays as required.
- A valid security SIA licence is required
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Reading RG2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Security: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- UK Manual Driving Licence (required)
- SIA Licence (required)
