Are you an experienced IT & Data focused Business Analyst with significant understanding of technology and data products?
Our Data, Analytics & AI team are currently looking for someone with strong technical data knowledge, and previous experience working in a Business Analyst or Data Product role, to join the team as a Business Analyst (Data) initially on a 2-year fixed term contract, acting as the primary link between business stakeholders and the technical data team.
As our Business Analyst (Data), using your technical knowledge to ask the right questions, you'll collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyse and document requirements for data products, reports, dashboards and analytical solutions, ensuring business needs are translated into clear, prioritised and usable requirements. Working closely with our Data Product Analysts, Data Engineers and business stakeholders, you'll help deliver trusted, high-quality data products that support informed decision making.
Some of the things we need from you:
A Lean Six Sigma or similar business analysis qualification or equivalent experience
Demonstrable business analysis experience within IT and data products
Significant experience gathering requirements for reporting, analytics or data solutions - able to ask probing questions to uncover underlying business needs.
Strong ability to demonstrate Business Analysis in a complex business/technical environment
Proven experience in translating user needs into data requirements
Able to support peers in the use of technology solutions
Ability to translate business requirements into user stories or functional specifications.
Experience defining KPIs, measures and business rules.
Experience facilitating sessions/workshops with senior stakeholders.
Significant gap analysis, root cause analysis and requirement gathering experience
Passion for business change via technology exploitation
While this role is home based, you should have the ability to travel to Group offices and other locations as required. Our Group offices are located at Birmingham Business Park and Central Park, Worcester.
