Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Semi skilled Operative to join our civil engineering team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality site works, ensuring safety standards are met, and supporting the smooth delivery of projects across all sections.
This project involves the construction of a new battery plant, with an extensive programme of civil engineering and infrastructure works scheduled over the next two years.
Responsibilities
- Carry out a wide range of site tasks including groundworks, concreting, drainage, kerbing, paving, and reinstatement.
- Ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.
- Comply with site safety rules, RAMS, and company procedures.
- Carry out quality checks and maintain high standards of workmanship.
- Support colleagues and supervisors to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Maintain tools, plant, and equipment in good working order.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Operative in civil engineering, construction, or highways.
- Competent in a variety of groundworks.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Strong awareness of health & safety on site.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
(Desirable but not always essential)
- CSCS card (essential).
- Full UK driving licence.
