Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Security Officer to join our team in. This role is vital in maintaining the safety and security of our clients' premises and ensuring our high standards of service are upheld. Based in, you will play a key part in protecting assets and supporting our company's mission of personalized security solutions.
Responsibilities
- Secure the site through regular external patrols, control all access and egress points, and conduct searches on members of staff leaving the warehouse area as directed. ·
- Operate security systems including CCTV, radios and other equipment, manage locking/unlocking of premises and key control following set procedures.
- Carry out traffic control and enforce parking restrictions when required.
- Investigate incidents, suspicious activity, fire alarms and safety hazards. Submit detailed verbal and written reports and log all activities accurately in records and logbooks.
- Maintain clear emergency escape routes, follow full emergency and evacuation procedures, and notify relevant contacts during out-of-hours incidents.
- Identify and report all health and safety risks, hazards, unsafe practices and any damage, loss or vandalism to property.
- Issue visitor/contractor passes, manage lost property, and maintain a professional appearance and customer-focused service at all times.
- Respond to requests for assistance, provide first aid support where trained, and record usage of first aid equipment.
- Ensure all company and client equipment is properly maintained and used in line with guidelines.
- Good written and spoken English is essential for clear communication and accurate reporting. You will have strong interpersonal and customer service skills, remain calm and professional, take ownership of tasks, use initiative, and work reliably following procedures. Professional manner and smart presentation are essential.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
