Are you looking to start a new career in a specialised electrical field? Intersafe is looking for a Trainee PAT Tester to join our growing team.
Ideally, you’ll hold a recognised PAT Testing qualification, such as City & Guilds 2377. However, if you don’t have a qualification yet, don’t worry, we’re happy to provide training to the right person.
We’re looking for someone who is eager to learn, focused on building a career, and committed to delivering a first-class service to our customers.
A full UK manual driving licence is essential, along with a willingness to travel and stay away from home when required. There may also be occasions when you’ll need to work outside of core business hours to meet operational requirements.
If you’re motivated, reliable and keen to develop a career in PAT Testing, we’d love to hear from you!
What you receive for joining us:
We’re offering a competitive salary based on a 40-hour working week. In addition, approved additional hours are paid at basic rate, plus a bonus of £0.15 per item after 800 items tested per week. Travel time is paid 30 minutes after leaving home/site. We also offer a company vehicle, company pension, holiday entitlement, testing equipment, uniform and ongoing training and development opportunities.
Here’s a look at some of the things you’ll be doing:
-
Carrying out Portable Appliance Testing in accordance with the IET In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment Code of Practice, including fuse changes, plug replacements and re-terminations where required
-
Submitting daily reports to the required standard, sending working hours daily and ensuring all works are completed within agreed timeframes
-
Liaising with site contacts and Contracts Managers to provide regular updates, resolve site issues and deliver excellent client service whilst working independently or as part of a team
-
Completing Health & Safety training and assisting with operational requirements such as van swaps and servicing appointments
Can you show experience in some of these areas:
-
Experience carrying out PAT testing and electrical inspection work, ideally supported by a relevant PAT testing qualification but not essential as training will be provided
-
Excellent communication skills with the ability to organise workloads, liaise with clients and maintain high standards of professionalism
-
Ability to work independently
-
A strong work ethic with excellent punctuality, flexibility to travel and stay away when required and commitment to completing work efficiently and thoroughly
Do you see yourself reflected in the description above? If so, we encourage you to submit your application today. Uncertain whether your skills align perfectly? Don’t hesitate to apply regardless; we value candidates with diverse skill sets and will carefully consider all applicants.
