We are looking for a Procurement & Contract Manager to lead and deliver procurement and contract management activity across the organisation. This is a varied role combining strategic and operational procurement, supplier management, contract governance and commercial support.
Location: Oxfordshire – Mainly Home Based (you will be based in or close to Oxfordshire)
Contract: Fixed Term Contract until March 2028
Hours: 30 hours per week, paid for 37.5 hours
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000

Overview of the Role
- Leading end-to-end procurement and competitive tender exercises
- Developing procurement strategies and ensuring compliance with the Procurement Act 2023
- Managing contracts throughout their lifecycle, including extensions, variations and renewals
- Managing supplier performance, KPIs and relationships
- Providing expert procurement and commercial advice to managers and senior leaders
- Identifying opportunities for cost savings, efficiencies and improved value for money
- Managing procurement risks, governance and compliance
- Supporting social value and sustainability objectives through procurement
- Preparing reports, business cases and governance papers for senior stakeholders and Boards
Requirements
- Proven experience within procurement, commercial or contract management
- Experience leading end-to-end procurement exercises and tender processes
- Strong contract management and supplier performance experience
- Knowledge of public sector procurement principles and ideally the Procurement Act 2023
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong analytical, organisational and project management abilities
- Experience managing multiple procurement projects in a fast-paced environment
- CIPS Level 4 or equivalent procurement qualification is desirable
