Forde Training Services Ltd has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and organised Office Junior/Administrator to join our team.
This role is particularly suited to someone aged 16–20 years old who is looking to start their career in an office and administration environment. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable workplace experience, develop administrative skills and learn about the day-to-day running of a busy office.
You will be one of the first points of contact for candidates attending courses, customers and members of the general public, so a friendly, polite and welcoming attitude is essential.
The successful candidate will be organised, reliable and keen to learn, with good communication and IT skills. Full support and training will be provided while you develop your knowledge and experience across a range of office and administrative duties.
Duties
- Welcoming candidates, visitors and clients in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answering incoming telephone calls and responding to emails and general enquiries.
- Taking and processing course bookings accurately.
- Entering and updating information on company systems and records.
- Assisting with general office administration, including filing, photocopying, scanning and handling incoming and outgoing post.
- Preparing weekly paperwork, documentation, certificates and reports as required.
- Registering candidates and assisting with the invigilation of exams for our accredited awarding bodies.
- Assisting with maintaining policies, procedures and documentation for awarding bodies including CITB, CPCS, NOCN and NPORS.
- Keeping office records and candidate information accurate and up to date.
- Helping to maintain an organised and tidy office environment.
- Monitoring office supplies and helping to ensure equipment is kept in good working order.
- Assisting with social media updates and advertising.
- Providing general administrative support to the team.
- Carrying out any other reasonable office duties as required.
Skills & Personal Qualities
- Friendly, polite and approachable manner.
- Good communication and telephone skills.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic to good IT skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Good typing and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and learn new systems and processes.
- Reliable, punctual and willing to take responsibility.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop.
- Previous office or administrative experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

Salary: Dependent on age and experience.
