Overview
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our logistics and distribution centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing warehouse activities, ensuring safety compliance, and optimising processes to improve efficiency. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate warehouse staff, providing guidance and support to ensure productivity and safety standards are met.
- Oversee the uploading and locating of parts, dispatch of goods using appropriate equipment such as forklifts.
- Manage shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accurate documentation and timely processing of orders.
- Implement process improvements to optimise workflow, reduce errors, and enhance overall efficiency.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce health and safety regulations across the warehouse.
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements, damages, or discrepancies using mechanical knowledge and logistics expertise.
- Lead heavy lifting tasks safely, ensuring compliance with manual handling procedures.
- Assist in training new team members on warehouse procedures and equipment operation.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse management
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; relevant certification is preferred.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive working environment.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for inventory control and process optimisation.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a warehouse setting. Pay: £31,000.00-£33,500.00 per year
