Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. Duties
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations
- Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, catering to diverse customer preferences
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to uphold quality standards
- Manage food production schedules to meet service times efficiently
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs effectively
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain accurate records of kitchen activities and staff performance
- Uphold organisational policies related to health and safety protocols
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a busy culinary environment
- Extensive food production and cooking skills across various cuisines
- Strong team management capabilities with excellent leadership qualities
- Proficiency in food preparation techniques and presentation standards
- In-depth knowledge of kitchen safety regulations and hygiene practices
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience demonstrating adaptability under pressure
