Full Time Dog Carer / Adventurer & Driver
Oxley Dogs are looking for someone to join our team as a full-time Dog Carer, Adventurer & Driver.

Our adventures are designed to be enriching, stimulating and fun. No two days are quite the same—we regularly visit woodlands, beaches, lakes and parks, always looking for new places to explore. We don’t just walk dogs; we create engaging experiences that benefit both the dogs and our team.
This role is far more than simply walking dogs. It involves every aspect of providing exceptional care for the dogs, maintaining our equipment and work environment, providing entertaining social media content, and helping deliver the high standards that Oxley Dogs is known for.
Job Details
Title: Full Time Dog Carer / Adventurer & Driver
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm
Salary: £29,000 gross per annum
Location: West London (Chiswick, Hammersmith, Fulham, Putney, Barnes and surrounding areas)
Working with Us
You’ll work closely alongside the owner/manager for the majority of the time, receiving ongoing support, guidance and training. While you’ll gradually gain confidence and independence, this is a collaborative role where teamwork is essential.
Responsibilities
- Accompany and supervise adventure walks (typically 1.5-2.5 hours each)
- Safely collect and return dogs using the company van
- Build positive relationships with clients during collections and drop-offs
- Maintain the highest standards of dog welfare, safety and enrichment throughout the day
- Monitor dog behaviour and communicate any concerns
- Assist with cleaning and maintaining company property, vehicles and equipment to ensure a safe, hygienic and professional working environment
- Help prepare equipment and vehicles for each day’s adventures
- Capture high-quality photos and videos of the dogs for use on our social media platforms
- Help create entertaining & informative content for social media platforms
- Contribute to creating a positive, organised and supportive team environment
Please note: This role does not include office administration. The focus is on hands-on dog care, maintaining our working environment, and supporting the day-to-day running of the business.
Requirements
- Live in West London
- Experience with dogs (professional experience not essential)
- Genuine passion & interest in dogs, their welfare and behaviour
- Comfortable handling multiple dogs both on and off lead
- Calm, patient and confident under pressure
- Enjoy being outdoors in all weather conditions
- Physically fit and happy to spend most of the day outside
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Confident taking photos and videos using a smartphone for social media
- Full UK driving licence held for at least three years
- Comfortable driving a manual van
- Safe, careful and considerate driver
- Happy to work both as part of a team and independently when required
- Occasional weekend, bank holiday or overnight boarding availability (optional)
