Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Domiciliary Care Manager to oversee and coordinate home care services for our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing care staff, ensuring high-quality care delivery, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. Duties
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the home care service, ensuring all care activities meet organisational standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop, review, and update personalised care plans for clients, including specialised dementia and Alzheimer's care.
- Supervise and support care staff, providing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations to maintain high standards of service.
- Coordinate staff rotas, ensuring adequate coverage across all shifts while optimising resource utilisation.
- Monitor medication administration procedures to ensure safety and compliance with legal guidelines.
- Conduct regular audits of care delivery and maintain comprehensive documentation for quality assurance purposes.
- Liaise with healthcare professionals, families, and external agencies to facilitate holistic client support.
- Lead initiatives in senior care environments such as assisted living facilities or nursing homes, fostering a culture of compassion and professionalism.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and promote best practices in infection control and safeguarding.
Skills
- Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home environments, with a strong background in nursing or senior care.
- Demonstrable expertise in dementia and Alzheimer's care, including the development of specialised care plans.
- Extensive management experience with a track record of supervising teams within a care home or home care setting.
- Strong leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills and the ability to motivate staff effectively.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and safeguarding procedures.
- Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills to engage with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently whilst maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to continuous professional development within the domiciliary or residential care sector.
Pay: £16.00-£18.00 per hour
