Tropical Glass is a growing e-commerce business specialising in terrariums, houseplants, DIY kits and unique plant gifts. Every week we carefully prepare and dispatch hundreds of customer orders across the UK, with a strong focus on quality, attention to detail and excellent customer service.
We're looking for a reliable and hands-on Warehouse Operative / Order Fulfilment Assistant to join our friendly team.
This is more than a typical warehouse role. As part of a small team, you'll help with order fulfilment, stock organisation, product preparation and a variety of day-to-day warehouse and studio tasks. Every order contains delicate products that require care and accuracy, so attention to detail is essential.
No plant knowledge is required, we'll teach you everything you need to know.
What You'll Be Doing
- Pick, pack and dispatch customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Carefully prepare terrarium kits, plant gifts and product components
- Check orders thoroughly before dispatch to minimise errors
- Receive, inspect and organise incoming deliveries
- Maintain stock locations and assist with inventory checks
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised and well maintained
- Handle glassware, plants and other delicate products with care
- Help improve packing and fulfilment processes
- Support general warehouse and studio tasks as required
- Learn basic plant care and terrarium preparation (full training provided)
- Occasionally assist customers visiting our studio
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in doing things properly and works well as part of a small team.
You should have:
- At least 2 years of recent, hands-on experience picking and packing customer orders in a warehouse, fulfilment centre or e-commerce business.
- Experience working with e-commerce orders (preferred)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good organisational skills
- The ability to work efficiently while maintaining accuracy
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good spoken and written English
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- The ability to safely lift and move boxes throughout the day
- Confidence handling fragile products with care
- A reliable and punctual approach to work
- A full right to work in the UK
- Ideally live within approximately 45 minutes of our warehouse (N22 6AG)
- Be comfortable working in a studio with a friendly dog
