Innsworth Preschool is looking for a caring, enthusiastic and passionate Early Years Practitioner to join our small, friendly team.
We are looking for either:
- A qualified Level 3 Early Years Practitioner, or
- A Level 2 Early Years Practitioner looking to progress onto a Level 3 apprenticeship with our support
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of Gloucester’s most popular and highly regarded preschool settings.
Unlike larger nursery chains, we offer a calmer, more personal environment where children, families and staff are genuinely known and valued.
With around 26–30 children attending each session, our sessions feel more manageable and relaxed, allowing practitioners to build stronger relationships with children, provide more individual attention and create a positive learning environment.
We are a very popular and in-demand setting, recently receiving over 700 enquiries for approximately 60 childcare places, reflecting the excellent reputation we have built within our community.
Our Environment:
Our preschool provides a beautiful and unique environment for children, including:
- Zen garden
- Farm area
- Giant sand pit
- Climbing houses
- Various outdoor learning spaces
- Indoor classroom areas
We are currently completing exciting renovations and improvements to continue developing our setting.
Our families come from all over the world, creating a welcoming, diverse and exciting community. We are proud of the relationships we build with our families and the experience we provide for children.
The Role:
Our preschool is open Monday to Friday, 8:00am–6:00pm, providing both morning and afternoon sessions.
You will support children’s learning and development through play, exploration and creativity, while building strong relationships with children, families and the wider team.
Our smaller session sizes allow practitioners to focus on quality interactions, meaningful learning experiences and supporting each child's individual development.
Benefits:
- Term time only
- Approximately 11–13 weeks paid holiday each year
- Full-time and part-time opportunities available
- Friendly and supportive team
- Beautiful working environment
- Opportunities for training and career development
- Support towards Level 3 qualification for suitable Level 2 candidates
About You:
You will be caring, reliable and enthusiastic, with a genuine passion for helping children learn and develop.
We are looking for someone who enjoys being part of a close team and wants to work in a setting where they can make a real difference.
If you are looking for a rewarding Early Years role in a welcoming, inspiring and supportive preschool, we would love to hear from you.
Appointment will be subject to safer recruitment checks, including references and an enhanced DBS check.
Pay: From £12.75 per hour
