The Sustainability Project Officer will contribute to Doncaster’s Net Zero Carbon target by developing and delivering electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across the city, providing project coordination and technical support across a number of projects within Environmental Sustainability’s Built Environment Team.
As the officer supporting these projects you have a crucial role in the delivery of EV charging projects. The role involves engaging with residents, businesses, and council employees on electric vehicles (EVs) and EV charging infrastructure. Responsibilities include developing communication materials, monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs), collating and analysing data, presenting insights clearly, and providing administrative support to project teams.
In addition, the role will support the management of the Council’s corporate utility contracts, including supplier relationship management, invoicing, query resolution, and pricing oversight, as well as using the Council’s energy management system to generate insights and reports to inform business cases and funding applications.
To succeed in this role, you must be well-organised, hardworking and flexible with experience of providing project support in a service with high demands. We are looking for a conscientious team member with an interest in the environment and a strong drive to deliver change, that can communicate confidently with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
