About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, caring and enthusiastic Playworker to join our After School Club team.
The successful candidate will support the delivery of a safe, welcoming and engaging environment where children can enjoy their time through structured play, creative activities, games, sports and age-appropriate learning opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise children and ensure their safety and wellbeing at all times.
- Plan and support engaging games, sports, crafts, creative activities and structured play.
- Encourage positive behaviour and respectful interactions.
- Support children's social, emotional and personal development.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety and childcare procedures.
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with children.
- Support attendance registers, activity records and other daily documentation.
- Report accidents, incidents and safeguarding or welfare concerns promptly.
- Maintain clean, organised and safe activity areas.
- Communicate professionally with parents, carers and colleagues.
- Work effectively as part of the wider childcare team.
- Support the smooth running of weekday and weekend sessions.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum Level 2 qualification in Childcare or an equivalent recognised childcare qualification.
- Experience working with children in a childcare, school, after-school club or similar setting.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Caring, patient and professional approach.
- Reliable, punctual and responsible.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to follow policies, procedures and professional standards.
- Flexibility and availability for weekday and weekend work.
