Looking for a Family Practitioner role where your relationship-building skills make a real difference?
We're recruiting for a London local authority's Family Support Service, moving into the new Family Help model — working alongside social workers to deliver whole-family, strengths-based support to children and families across the borough.
What you'll need:
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in child and family work, or substantial direct experience
- Good understanding of child development, risk and safeguarding
- Confident report writing and case recording
- Enhanced DBS (ideally on the Update Service)
- Flexible for some early mornings, evenings and occasional weekends
What you'll be doing:
- Practical, evidence-based support in family homes and the community
- Task-centred, behavioural and systemic work to build parenting capacity
- Building trusted relationships with children, young people and families
- Contributing to assessments, plans and multi-agency meetings (incl. Child Protection Conferences)
