Job description:
We are recruiting experienced Fibre Field Engineers to join our fast-growing team. This is an integral role in our mission to provide quality services across the telecoms industry. You will be driven by delivering exceptional quality and have the right skills and attitude to be able to deliver complex business and residential installations.
Key responsibilities:
- To work in a professional manner, always acting as an ambassador of HGC
- Always follow Health and Safety guidelines
- Ensure quality of personal workmanship
- Care of company equipment and property
- Installation and testing of optic fibre networks
- Installation of internal and external fibre within commercial or residential properties
- Installation of internal or external cable containment
- Experienced working in POP/FEX sites
- Hard or Soft copy of test results
- Hard or Soft copy of “As builts”
- Detailed daily project reports and photographs to project manager/Co-ordinator or field supervisor as appropriate
- Equipment, cable or cable core labelling to customer requirements
- Ability to implement work pack instructions
- Production of redline mark ups if required
- A55 submissions
- Experienced working on Openreach & City Fibre networks
- DFE booking practices Key Skills / Experience:
Required:
- Min 2 years Fibre experience
- Based approximately no more than one hour from our offices in Leicestershire
- Experience fibre installation, testing externally and internally
- Good written and verbal English language
- Competent in Microsoft office
- Ability to work autonomously and be solution focused
- Good communication skills, as the role is customer facing
- Physically able to complete the role
Required Qualifications / Certification :
- PIA accreditations, K8, N23 N28, S5, S6, S7, S8
- SA002 Underground Safety accredited
- Must hold a valid driving licence – no more than 6 points
