Job Description:
Compass Café is looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic chef to join our friendly team working in our busy café within Tiso.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist & Support the Head Chef with the day to day running of the kitchen.
- Assisting with the ordering of & close management of stock
- Ensuring all Health & Hygiene procedures are implemented & continually adhered to.
- Assist in the food preparation pre and during service
- Ability to learn & understand new cooking techniques.
- Ensures food leaves the pass timely
- Have the ability to work & train on every section of the cook line.
35-38 hours per week
The ideal candidate will be a team player able to create a positive environment in the kitchen, this is a permanent post with no split shifts! It is purely a daytime role with no evenings required. Hours are worked on a 5 days from 7 rota including weekends.
The position is available for an immediate start. There is flexibility on start and finish times.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year's experience in a kitchen
- Ideally have hold a Level 1 Food Hygiene & Safety Certificate but not essential
