Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components with precision and attention to detail. The position involves working with various tools and materials, ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform Mig welding and other welding techniques on metals, including structural components.
- Fabricate metal parts according to technical drawings and specifications
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble materials
- Read and interpret technical drawings
- Assist in the assembly of fabricated components into finished products
- Ensure all welds meet quality standards and adhere to safety regulations
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, following health and safety guidelines at all times
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any issues promptly
Experience
- Proven experience in MIG welding, with a strong understanding of Bradfield's welding standards
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
- Familiarity with basic math skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks
- Prior experience working with welding in industrial or manufacturing settings is highly desirable
- Mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to interpret technical drawings is essential for success in this role
