Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and personable Bar Staff to join our vibrant team at a new venue for us Opening Soon . The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and a keen eye for food safety. This role involves serving drinks and providing a welcoming atmosphere for patrons, ensuring they enjoy their experience in a lively and professional environment. Previous restaurant experience is advantageous, but full training will be provided to the right candidate. All positions are paid, including internships, and offer opportunities for career development within the hospitality sector. Candidates must be Over 18 due to bar serving unsupervised at times.
Responsibilities
- Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers in a friendly and efficient manner
- Take orders accurately and handle cash or card payments using the POS system
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in accordance with food safety standards
- Ensure responsible alcohol service by checking IDs and adhering to licensing laws
- Restock bar supplies as needed and assist with inventory management
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons and addressing any queries or concerns
- Support the team during busy periods, ensuring smooth operation of the bar service
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to create a safe environment for staff and customers
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service is desirable
- Strong organisational skills with good time management abilities
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- A personable attitude with a professional approach to customer service
