Talentra Recruitment is a trusted care agency supplying compassionate, reliable care workers to clients across Cornwall & Devon. We're currently looking for enthusiastic Community Care Workers to join our growing team and make a real difference in people's lives.
The Role
As a Community Care Worker, you'll visit clients in their own homes to help them live safely, comfortably, and independently. Every day is different, and no two visits are the same.
Your day-to-day duties may include:
- Supporting clients with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
- Assisting with mobility and use of hoists/equipment
- Administering or prompting medication
- Preparing meals and helping with feeding
- Light domestic duties (cleaning, laundry)
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Accompanying clients to appointments or on outings
- Accurately recording care provided in daily notes
What We're Looking For
- Previous care experience is required. As an agency, we're unable to provide the full induction training a direct care employer would offer, so we ask that applicants have already completed a recognised induction to care (e.g. Care Certificate, NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care, or equivalent) before joining us.
- A caring, patient, and reliable nature
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Flexibility to cover a range of shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred, not always essential)
- Must hold, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check (we can help guide you through this process)
- Right to work in the UK (proof will be required at application stage)
