In this full time Machine Operator role, you will ensure the smooth operation of our paper converting machines, performing checks and ensuring quality meets specifications.
You will work a 4 on 4 off, 12-hour shift pattern of both days (06:00-18:00) and nights (18:00-06:00).
A key part of your role is performing adjustments to machinery (manually or electronically with HMI) to keep the product within specification, referring to job cards and centrelines, and ensuring completion of documentation to a high standard.
Before you use our machinery, you'll need to carry out pre-use lifting and equipment guarding checks to ensure Zero Harm!
Once safe to do so, you will operate our high speed converting machinery and conduct regular quality checks, changeovers, basic maintenance, and rectify defects/minor issues as best you can, or escalate to a Shift Engineer or Cell Leader/Shift Manager if additional support is required.
What we need from you:
- Technical and mechanical flair
- Experience setting machinery and/or changeovers, performing basic maintenance when required
- Fault finding, supporting our Shift Engineers and reducing downtime.
- Experience in Converting, Packaging, Foods, or a similar FMCG environment (beneficial)
- Familiarity with winding/rewinding machinery (beneficial)
- Critical thinking with an inquisitive mindset (i.e. confidence to challenge) will go a long way.
