Technical Sales Representative – Electric Motors, Drives, Controls & Mechanical Systems
Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire
Motor Technical Services Ltd (MTS) is looking for a Technical Sales Representative to help grow our customer base and develop new opportunities linked to our core repair and rewind business. This role is ideal for someone with a technical sales or engineering background who can build customer relationships and identify opportunities across electric motors, gear systems, variable frequency drives, controls, sensors, PLC's, spare parts, integrated systems, and preventative maintenance services.
Key Duties:
- Develop new business and grow existing customer accounts
- Promote motor repairs, rewinds, refurbishment, and maintenance as the core service offer
- Support sales of motors, gearboxes, drives, controls, PLC-related solutions, sensors, and spare parts
- Identify customer needs and recommend practical technical solutions
- Generate opportunities for preventative maintenance services including vibration analysis, remote monitoring, and thermography
- Prepare quotations, follow up leads, and convert opportunities into profitable work
- Attend customer meetings and site visits as required
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in technical sales, field service, engineering, or industrial maintenance
- Knowledge of electric motors, gear systems, drives, controls, or related industrial equipment
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Commercial awareness with the ability to identify and develop sales opportunities
- A practical and customer-focused approach
