Job Description
Wiston Estate is looking for a motivated individual to fill the role of a Multi Trader.
Under the instruction of the Estate Foreman this role will carry out practical maintenance tasks, primarily to houses and cottages but also to farm and commercial properties.
Tasks will include all aspects of property maintenance and will be mainly minor building works and repairs. Including basic bricklaying, basic carpentry, door / window lock replacements, minor roof repairs, guttering and drain repairs, patio, fence and gate repairs, dry lining and patch plaster repairs. This position requires a basic knowledge of electrics, plumbing and leak detection, ceramic tiling, minor painting and decorating and glazing repairs.
Role Responsibilities
- Property maintenance - mainly minor building works and repairs. Including basic bricklaying, basic carpentry, door / window lock replacements, minor roof repairs, guttering and drain repairs, patio, fence and gate repairs, dry lining and patch plaster repairs. Basic knowledge of electrics, ceramic tiling, decorating, glazing repairs required.
- Responsible for material requirements for jobs.
- Accountable for working to a high standard of workmanship at all times.
- Responsible for H&S procedures such as safety checks
- Experienced in use of computer based software e.g. creation purchase orders, logging time, logging and updating job progress, H&S such as accident reporting etc.
You will be expected to provide a professional and friendly service to all tenants, customers, and visitors to the Estate and be required to be flexible when dealing with unforeseen jobs that may arise.
