Job Title: VNA Driver & Warehouse Operative
Reports into: Operations Managers
Location: Newport NP19
Salary: £30,763.20 per annum
Hours: 40 per week across Monday to Friday (shifts between 6am and 6pm). Flexibility to support Saturdays and bank holidays on a rota basis is required.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for experienced VNA Drivers to join our Newport warehouse team. This is a physically demanding and varied role in a fast-paced distribution environment. Within the role you will also undertake general warehouse operative work to support the operation.
Our Newport site is a modern, 100,000 sqft warehouse with 16,000 pallet capacity and 10 loading docks. We have a close-knit team who work collaboratively across all aspects of the warehouse operation, including 3PL logistics.
Main duties:
- Operating VNA trucks to retrieve and store goods at height in a narrow aisle racking system.
- Unloading and stacking materials from incoming shipments and safely moving them to assigned locations.
- Picking and replenishing stock from high-bay racking using VNA trucks.
- Ensuring safe handling and load balancing when placing and retrieving goods at height.
- Conducting pre-use safety checks on VNA trucks and other warehouse equipment, reporting any faults.
- Using hand-held scanners to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Banding and wrapping pallets and customer orders to prepare for dispatch.
- Following warehouse safety protocols to prevent product damage and workplace hazards.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment in line with company policies.
- Supporting other areas of the warehouse operation, including general operative tasks where required (pick, pack, dispatch, container unloading, stock work, housekeeping).

Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience as a VNA driver in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Valid VNA and forklift certification (ITTSAR/RITTB preferred), but applicants with experience will also be considered.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in stock handling.
- Physically fit and comfortable working in a demanding warehouse setting.
- A proactive, can-do attitude and ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Reliable and flexible with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent coordination and safety awareness when operating machinery in confined spaces.
