Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, staff, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to loss prevention, effective surveillance techniques, and the ability to respond swiftly to incidents. The Security Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of premises through monitoring and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure safety and security.
- Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV, to identify any suspicious activities.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, providing first aid when necessary.
- Enforce company policies and procedures regarding security protocols.
- Document daily activities and any incidents that occur during shifts.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement when required.
- Assist in loss prevention strategies to minimise theft or damage.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times while on duty.
Experience
- Previous experience in security or a related field is preferred but not essential.
- Familiarity with loss prevention techniques and surveillance systems is advantageous.
- Certification in first aid is desirable.
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
