We're excited to welcome Hatton Upper School, 22 Park Avenue, Ilford, IG1 4RS to The Pantry and are looking for an experienced School Chef Manager to lead this newly expanded operation. With new investment, modern kitchen equipment, a supportive team, and the backing of a growing company, this is a fantastic opportunity to bring your ideas, leadership and passion for great food to a school ready for it's next chapter.
Preferred start date: 01st September 2026. A later start date in September may be considered for the right candidate.
You will be supported with a company that gives training on all aspects of the role and invest in your growth.
You will report directly to the Operations Manager and may be required to support with other sites locally.
Key duties in this role include:
- Cooking and providing students with a great offer!
- Driving the Sales and Food standard
- Providing an excellent service
- Building great student and staff relationships
- Managing financial reporting
- Leading and inspiring your Team
- Overseeing the training of the team
- Food ordering and stock control
- Management of the kitchen
- Staff development
- Client satisfaction
- You will be responsible for the full compliance , Health and Safety of the kitchen

*This is permanent role, working 30 hours per week from 08:00am to 14:00pm, Monday to Friday, term - time only (39 weeks.)*
