Here at the Best Western Bradford Guide Post Hotel we are looking for an enthusiastic, well presented, hands-on FOH/Duty Manager to join our senior team here at the hotel.
You will be a great leader with a genuine passion for assisting in building a strong team focusing on quality training and team development.

You are able to coach your team to deliver excellent performance under the general managers guidance.
THE ROLE
To assist the General Manager in ensuring all departments deliver a high quality service to the customer, maximising on sales opportunities while controlling costs according to business levels to achieve budgeted profitability.
To represent the hotel and be available for guest and staff at all times.
MAIN DUTIES:
1. To communicate and liaise with relevant Department Heads to ensure the smooth running of those departments.
2. To be aware of, implement monitor and control Quality Standards within Operational departments, to ensure a consistent high level of service is delivered to customers at all times.
3. To be aware of budgetary requirements within departments monitoring Sales, Pricing and Profits to maximise potential at every opportunity.
4. To be aware of current promotions in all departments and to assist in the implementation and planning of future promotions within departments where necessary to encourage new and repeat business.
5. To have an awareness of Food and Beverage Gross Profit targets and information relevant to perform GP required.
6. To direct, monitor, co-ordinate and participate in department operations where necessary.
7. To deliver a Mine Host type status within the Hotel.
8. To assist in the ordering of relevant items, monitoring stock levels, adherence to Targets, Cost Control and ensuring stocks levels meet business demands.
9. To ensure Departmental Training Records are updated according to training carried out and all staff are aware of individual needs and competencies.
10. To liaise with the Personnel Department to ensure staff records are complete and current.
11. To conduct Health and Safety Audits in relevant areas to ensure compliance with current legislation and create a safe working environment.
12. To ensure all new staff follow the departmental training to include statutory requirements relating to their department e.g. Health & safety, COSHH, Weights & Measurements, Manual Handling, etc.
13. To Direct, Monitor, Co-Ordinate and Participate in the Wedding and Function business within the hotel.
