Lee Miller Archives and Farleys House & Gallery (Farleys) are recruiting for a Retail Co-ordinator who is creative, passionate about art and retail and is strategically-thinking. You would be responsible for the complete retail offer of Farleys and the Lee Miller Archives. As well as maintaining, selling and distributing current retail stock, you would develop new products with the aim of increasing our retail sales both in our physical shops, B2B wholesale and Ecommerce sales. You would also be responsible for identifying new sales opportunities and fulfilling them.
The Lee Miller Archives & Farleys is set in a beautiful inspiring countryside environment and are a supportive friendly team that believe passionately in disseminating and caring for the legacy of Farleys, its activities and Lee Miller.

- Physically fit to lift and carry boxes up to 16kg
Responsibilities:
Pack and dispatch customer and B2B orders including packing pallets
Enter and maintain stock in inventory on system
Liaise B2B with museums and other outlets, internationally for wholesale sales
Re-ordering goods
Share responsibility for receiving products and stocking up all areas.
Consult with others in the team to then develop new products to sell through Farleys shop and its and the Lee Miller Archives web-shops
Work with artists to create exclusive products that relate to Farleys and the Lee Miller Archives to sell.
Be responsible for the aesthetic of the physical retail spaces at Farleys with a view to increasing sales.
Identify new retail sales opportunities.
Be responsible for uploading new products and their descriptions onto Lee Miller Archives and Farleys websites.
Report on sales and evaluate activities to ensure effectiveness and cost effectiveness, identify opportunities to optimise performance and feed back to line managers.
Occasionally operate in the retail shops at Farleys.
Key skills and capabilities:
- Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Good with numbers
- Good knowledge of Wordpress CMS system.
- B2B Relationship Building
- Good Commercial Awareness
- Influencing and Negotiation skills
Experience:
- Retail display and commercial
- Customer facing retail environment
- Retail product development
- Managing inventory in warehousing, retail or distribution setting
- Experience evaluating performance against objectives and making recommendations to improve future retail performance
**Will need own transport as Farleys and the Lee Miller Archives are based in the beautiful East Sussex countryside which is currently not serviced by public transport.**
Remuneration is £13.00 per hour, £10,140.00 per Anum, based on 15 hours a week. Work days are to be arranged by agreement but ideally be Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Work hours are 9.30am to 3pm.
