Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Handyman / Fire Door Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a versatile skill set in various aspects of building maintenance and installation, with a focus on fire door fitting. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects within the construction and maintenance sectors, ensuring safety and compliance standards are met. Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain fire doors in accordance with safety regulations and specifications.
- Use hand tools and power tools
- Conduct a range of handyman maintenance jobs as required for project completion.
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Identify potential hazards or issues during installation or maintenance activities and address them promptly.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction or building maintenance roles with a focus on fire door fitting is preferred.
- Experience working with hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently is essential.
- Previous experience in installing fire safety systems is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided where necessary.
- Candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of health & safety regulations within the construction environment.
