As a Blank Label Conversion Operator, your duties include ensuring rolls of paper are wound to specified lengths or numbers, feeding paper from the master roll into a machine that will measure off the lengths required for the new roll, and removing the new rolls. Your job also includes maintenance and calibration of your equipment. You will be expected to help in all areas of production as business schedules require.
This role will report directly into the Production Manager and will be an integral part of the Rewind Inspection team. The role includes the final inspection of finished product prior to shipment to the customer along with other relevant duties expected in this area. A keen eye for detail and a willingness to work under pressure at times is essential.
- Checking the blank and some printed and finished stock for defects.
- Some heavy lifting may be involved.
- Converting and Finishing master rolls.
- Packing, Palleting and Labelling during machine runs.
- Recording all jobs on worksheets with zero discrepancies.
Experience with label or paper conversion machinery would be an advantage but full training will be provided for the correct candidate.
